Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Property & Service Manager provides transportation, delivery and errand services to all Mission programs; arranges for car maintenance; procures and distributes all office supplies; acts as a backup for the Purchasing and Contracting Specialist; and provides basic administrative, maintenance and support services to the Mission following established Mission and departmental policies.

Essential qualifications:
• School-leaving certificate (equivalent to Realschulabschluss or higher)

• Professional level (written and oral) of German
• Working level of one of Canada’s official languages (English or French)

• Valid German driver’s license
• Valid license to transport passengers Valid Fahrerlaubnis zur Fahrgastbeförderung ( = Personenbeförderungsschein)

• Significant work experience** as a chauffeur in Berlin/Brandenburg (**Significant work experience is defined as two years in full-time out of the past five).

• Knowledge of the Berlin road network


• Ability to drive passengers comfortably and safely
• Ability to understand and use road maps and GPS systems
• Ability to perform office work
• Ability to use computer applications (MS Office) in a professional environment
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
• Ability to prioritize

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:
• Work experience in an international environment such as an Embassy, NGO or abroad
• Work experience in an office environment
• Work experience with SAP or other financial software
• Ability in second Canadian official language
• Valid Fahrerlaubnis zur Fahrgastbeförderung with Ortskundeprüfung for Berlin (= Personenbeförderungsschein)
