Term Details:
The Human Resources Section wishes to announce a staffing process for Program Support in the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada section of the Embassy of Canada in Riyadh. This staffing process will serve to build an eligibility list at the LE-04 level to be used for indeterminate, term, or temporary appointments at this level.

Summary of position:
Under general supervision, provides multi-task support services to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC’s) programs and operations.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate clearly how they meet Essential Requirements. Failure to meet any of the essential requirements eliminates candidates from further consideration in the competition.

Education:
• Technical Diploma or university degree from a recognized university.

Language:
• Fluency in English (both written and oral)

Experience:
• Minimum of 1 years recent* experience working in an office environment in an administrative support capacity or in a client service environment.
*Recent is defined as in the last 3 years.

Knowledge:
• Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• General knowledge of the Canadian visa application process

Abilities/Competencies:
• Effective communication (oral and written) in English
• Attention to detail
• Values and ethics – service through integrity and respect
• Thinking things through – innovating through analysis and ideas
• Engagement – working effectively with people, organizations, partners

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read and write French.
• Ability to speak, read and write in Arabic.
• Experience working for a diplomatic mission or international organization.
• Experience working in visa/consular services in a diplomatic mission in the last 5 years.

If candidates meet the factors listed in the asset qualifications they must clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their covering letter.

Organizational Needs:

Operational Requirements:
• Ability to work overtime
• Annual leave may be restricted due to operational needs
• Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
• As a member of the Canadian diplomatic presence abroad, required to adhere to Canada’s Code on Values & Ethics

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Valid passport and Saudi residency permit (Iqama)
• Must be a legal resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and eligible to work therein
• Iqama transfer required
• Obtain and retain an enhanced reliability clearance (security clearance)
• Successful completion of a one (1) year probation period
• Successful candidates must pass a routine medical examination
