Summary of position:
Reporting to the Consul (Management & Consular Affairs) in Bangalore, the Common Service Officer (CSO) assists in the delivery of Common Services’ objectives and goals including but not limited to financial, property, HR & Security services; provides both routine and non-routine information and develops related documentation; provides complex Common Service support and services; provides services to the mission’s client base and initiates proactive collaboration; supervises other Common Service staff, and performs other duties as and when required.

The CSO supports program delivery through proactive cooperation with the Delhi Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP) by implementing at the client mission, mutually agreed upon procedures, communications, events, policies, and seeking input and suggestions from the CSDP as applicable and provides feedback/input as required.

Essential qualifications:
Mandatory Screening Qualifications:

Education: University degree from a recognized college.

Language: Fluency in English (oral & written).

Experience: Minimum 4 years (within the past 7 years) of recent and relevant experience in an Indian or international organization in the following areas:
a)Finance: Budget planning, management and reporting; contracting
b)Experience in supervision. This includes supervising others directly and/or overseeing work by others who do not necessarily report to you; experience in conducting performance evaluations
c)Property Management

Computer Skills: MS-office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, Internet.

•Ability to analyse client needs and provide recommendations to supervisor for long range planning

Condition(s) of Employment:
The appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to a Reliability Check (RC) obtained by the Management. To conduct the Reliability Check (RC), the candidate will have to submit the following documents on being selected by the mission.

•Police clearance certificate (Character Certificate)
•Letter of recognition from your bank stating your name, years of client service and your address
•Professional and educational certificates and mark sheets (i.e., academic transcripts)

**Candidates must be available to work overtime and travel, as and when required**

All employees of the High Commission of Canada and Canadian missions in India; Individuals who are eligible to work in India

Important Notes:

The results of this competition may also be used to establish an eligibility list to staff similar openings at the Consulate General which may arise in the twelve (12) months following the completion of this competition.
