Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Chef / OR Manager, assists in the capacity of Housekeeper in the family area of Official Residence and at special events at the Official Residence or the Embassy, at the request of the Ambassador, Ambassador’s spouse or the Chef /OR Manager.

Essential qualifications:
Essential qualifications

- School-leaving certificate (equivalent to secondary school or higher)

- Significant work experience** in the hotel and restaurant industry, preferably in the laundry service (**Significant work experience is defined as two years out of the past ten).

- Good level (written and oral) of German
- Good level (written and oral) of English or French

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:

- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to travel within Berlin on occasion
- Willingness to be on call after hours and on weekends and public holidays on occasion

- Valid working permit for Germany at present
- Must perform duties without influence of alcohol and/or other drugs (legal / illegal)
