Summary of position:
Under the general direction of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO): processes Medical Reports of prospective immigrants, temporary residents and refugee/refugee claimants ( herein called applicants) to Canada provided both on paper and electronically; provides initial determination of medical admissibility of applicants for review by RMO or LES physician; provides final decision on medical admissibility for certain medical files based on established departmental guidelines, such activity including the screening and evaluation of chest x-rays; participates in research for and the preparation of reports and statistical information for submission to RMO and Health Branch (HB); develops protocols and guidelines for the management of routine medical files and those requiring special handling; identifies impediments to and develops resolutions for the effective delivery of the Regional Health Services program; provides expert advice, assistance and support to Panel Members (PM) program.

Essential qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
Candidates will initially be screened on the essential qualifications below and must demonstrate in their cover letter how they meet these criteria. Education:
Completion of an undergraduate degree with at least a minor specialization in health sciences OR College training in health sciences, such as nursing or similar health field

Experience:
- 2 years recent* experience working in health program administration, health adjudication or case management. *recent is defined as 2 years in the last 5 years.

Language Requirements: Fluency in written/oral communication in English

Occupational Certificate: Licensed to practice nursing without restriction in the U.K, Northern Europe or North America

Rated Requirements
Candidates must also meet the Rated Requirements shown below, which will be assessed through any of the following: cover letter, written test, oral communication, interview and reference checks.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications. Candidates must also clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their cover letter:
- Experience in chest x-ray screening/reading;
- Fluency in French

Condition(s) of Employment:
Hours of work will be 37.5 per week, worked Monday to Friday at time to be arranged by the supervisor. Any job offer is subject to receipt of satisfactory employment and character references and the ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability security screening (including a criminal record check).
Copies of educational qualifications will be required at the interview stage of the process. Successful candidate must have a valid passport and the required documentation allowing the right to work in the UK. Documentation will be required.
