Summary of position:
Under the direction of the Property Projects and Facilities Manager, coordinates, implements, and oversees a maintenance program (as detailed by supervisor), including repair and upkeep projects of all Crown owned/leased properties; supervises 16 locally engaged staff and up to 6 contractors; receives and prioritizes work orders pertaining to property; coordinates the rotational season maintenance work; under the supervision of the Property Projects and Facilities Manager, coordinates and manages the inventory of material and supplies needed for various repairs and property related maintenance; provides support services for special events and visits; performs other related duties.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education:
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Language:
• Fluency in Russian (oral and written).
• Excellent knowledge of English or French is essential (oral and written).

Experience:
• Experience in supervising a team.
• Experience in managing projects of various sizes and scopes of work.
• Experience with creating and managing schedules.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications.

Rated Requirements
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.

• Certification in a trade such as: Heating and cooling, Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Mechanic.
• Experience working in a construction related field.
• Experience working as a general contractor for construction projects.
• Experience in procurement of goods and services.

Operational Requirements:
• Required to work overtime.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week).

Condition(s) of Employment:
• A valid security clearance issued by the Government of Canada.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment period.
