Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Regional Payables Supervisor, the Account Payable / Banking & Receivable Assistant provides accounting and financial services to Client Missions within the London Common Service Delivery Point (LDN-CSDP) grouping. The client grouping includes missions located in Europe.
Under the general supervisions of the CSDP Financial Control Officer, inputs and maintains data in GAC’s financial management system (FAS); provides accounting and financial services to Client Missions within the London Common Service Delivery Point (LDN-CSDP) grouping; manages information, revenues and accounts receivable files.
The type of services include inputting and maintaining data in the SAP-based financial management system; providing financial advice and services including the processing and auditing of travel & hospitality claims, personnel expenses, vendor purchase invoices, accruals, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and facets of operational budgeting.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened on the essential qualifications below and must demonstrate in their cover letter how they meet these criteria. Only those candidates who meet all the Essential Requirements will proceed to the next stage of the process.

Education: A-level’s or equivalent

Experience minimum of 2 years recent* experience working in an office environment in an administrative support or program assistant capacity or 1 years recent* experience in an accounts payable role. *Recent experience is defined as within last 4 years.

Linguistic Profile: Fluent in English

Candidates must also meet the Rated Requirements shown below, which will be assessed through any of the following: written test, oral communication, interview and reference checks:

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications and may be screened according to assets. Candidates must also clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their cover letter:
- Experience working in an Accounts Payable role
- Ability to speak French
- Experience working with SAP ERP software

Condition(s) of Employment:
Hours of work will be 37.5 per week, worked Monday to Friday at time to be arranged by the supervisor. Any job offer is subject to receipt of satisfactory employment and character references, and the ability to maintain a Reliability Security clearance (including a criminal record and financial check).
Copies of educational qualifications will be required at the interview stage of the process. Successful candidate must have a valid passport and the required documentation allowing the right to work in the UK. Documentation will be required.
