Summary of position:
Under general supervision of the Immigration Program Manager or an Officer, analyzes, evaluates and makes recommendations on temporary and permanent resident applications. Requires a sound knowledge of immigration-related legislation, regulations, guidelines and procedures as well as sound judgement in making well-founded and supported recommendations. Exercises initiative in organizing work, supporting program integrity, researching, and resolving complex problems. Responds to clients’/partners’/stakeholders’ requests for advice and guidance on a variety of routine and/or urgent issues. Participates on projects and conducts intelligence gathering and dissemination, promotional and related activities.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

• University degree from a recognized institution

• Fluency in English: minimum of 7.0 band in IELTS, taken within the last 2 years (proof will be required).
• Fluency in Arabic (Oral and Written)

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.

• Experience working in an office environment in an administrative support capacity or in a client service environment.
• Experience in supervising staff, including allocation of work, training and performance management
• Experience working at IRCC Riyadh
• Experience in using Global Case Management System (GCMS)
• Experience working in a visa or migration section

Organizational Needs:
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Operational Requirements:
• Ability to work overtime
• Annual leave may be restricted due to operational needs
• Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
• As a member of the Canadian diplomatic presence abroad, required to adhere to Canada’s Code on Values & Ethics

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Must be a citizen or legal resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and eligible to work therein
• For non-Saudi applicants:
o Valid passport and Saudi residency permit (Iqama)
o Iqama transfer required
• Obtain and retain an enhanced reliability clearance (security clearance)
• Successful candidates must pass a routine medical examination

Area of selection:
