The starting annual salary is 30,909 EURO gross plus a 13th months salary and employer contribution to a private pension plan.

Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Property and Service Manager provides transportation, delivery and errand services to all Mission programs; arranges for car maintenance; procures and distributes all office supplies; and provides basic administrative, maintenance and support services to the Mission following established Mission and departmental policies.

Education/Training:
- School-leaving certificate (equivalent to Erweiterter Hauptschulabschluss or higher) or completed professional training (Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung)
- Valid German driver’s licence, class B or higher
- Valid Fahrerlaubnis zur Fahrgastbeförderung (= Personenbeförderungs-
schein)

Experience:
- Significant work experience** as a chauffeur (including taxi driving)
**Significant work experience is defined as two years in full-time out of the past five.

Languages:
- Good level (written and oral) of German
- Good level (written and oral) of English

Rated Requirements

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Berlin road network

Abilities:
- Ability to drive passengers comfortably and safely
- Ability to understand and use road maps and GPS systems
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
- Ability to prioritize

Personal suitability:
- Well-groomed appearance
- Well-mannered
- Discretion

Asset Qualifications:
- Work experience in an international environment such as an Embassy, NGO or abroad
- Work experience in an office environment using computer software including Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) or similar software, and Internet browsers
- Valid Fahrerlaubnis zur Fahrgastbeförderung with Ortskundeprüfung for Berlin ( = großer Personenbeförderungsschein)
- Valid German driver’s licence, class BE or higher

- Willingness to travel on occasion
- Willingness to be on call after hours and on weekends and public holidays on occasion

Condition(s) of Employment:
- Security check and approval of Reliability Status
- Valid work permit for Germany
- Must maintain a valid German driver’s license throughout employment period
- Must maintain a valid Fahrerlaubnis zur Fahrgastbeförderung throughout employment period
- Must perform driving duties without influence of alcohol and/or other drugs (legal / illegal)
