Summary of position:
CSDP Account Payable Assistant (m/f/d):
Under the general supervision of Account Payable Supervisor, inputs and maintains data in DFAIT’s financial management system (IMS); provides accounting and financial services to the client missions of the Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP); provides financial services to the managers and staff of CSDP client mission; manages information and accounts payable files; and performs other duties related to CSDP activities.

CSDP Banking & Accounts Receivable Assistant (m/f/d):
Under the general supervision of the CSDP Financial Control Officer, inputs and maintains data in DFAIT’s financial management system (FAS); provides accounting and financial services to the client missions of the Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP); provides financial services to the managers and staff of CSDP client mission; manages information, revenues and accounts receivable files; and performs other duties related to CSDP activities.

Contracting and Procurement Assistant (m/f/d):
Under the supervision of the Contracting and Procurement Officer or other officer/manager, the incumbent is responsible for conducting and advising on basic materiel management, procurement and contracting activities for an assigned range of goods and services, for client missions.

LES Human Resources Assistant - CSDP
Under the direction from the CSDP LES HR Officer, the incumbent provides support services as it relates to mission human resources processes and procedures based on the legislative framework, local laws and practices, with a specific focus on HR functions related to LES recruitment and classification.




Essential qualifications:
Education:
- School leaving exam (Abitur or equivalent) and a minimum of three years full-time work experience in an office environment; or,
- University degree and a minimum of 6 months full-time work experience in an office environment

Experience:
Work experience in an office environment to include the following activities:
- Working experience with SAP or other Enterprise Management Software, databases or similar software
- Using various word processing, data management and email software or systems such as Microsoft Suite.
- Providing advice and guidance to clients.

Rated:

Language:
- Professional level in English (written and oral)

Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with various word processing, data management and/or email software systems.
- Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to enter a high volume of data into a computer system.
- Ability to manage priorities.
- Ability to provide accurate advice and guidance to clients.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and appropriately.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:

- Intermediate level of French
- Experience working in an international environment or an international organization
- Finance experience

- Human Resources experience

- Willingness and ability to work overtime
- May be required to travel both domestically and abroad

- The results of this process may also be used to establish an eligibility list of staff for similar openings at the Embassy of Canada in Berlin for indeterminate or term, full-time or part-time positions at the LE-05 level, which may arise in the 12 months following the completion of this process.
