Summary of position:
Under the direction of the Facility and Logistics Officer, the incumbent is responsible for cleaning in the Chancery with particular attention to the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR).

Essential qualifications:
Applicants must clearly and explicitly demonstrate in both their application letter and résumé that they meet the essential qualifications in education and/or experience and language criteria listed to be screened into this competition. Only candidates that meet the language, experience and/or education qualifications will be invited for assessment.

Education:
• Successful completion of a secondary institution, min. vocational school.

Languages:
• Fluency in Czech is essential;
• Knowledge of some English and/or French;

Experience:
• *Recent Experience working in an Embassy environment for a minimum of 5 years as a cleaner or other relevant role;
• *Recent Experience in assisting with the preparation for large diplomatic events for a minimum of 5 years.
*Recent is defined as within the last 7 years.

Rated Requirements:
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, practical tests or presentations.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:
• Experience working in an official residence or in a diplomatic context;
• Competency in French
If candidates meet the factors listed in the asset qualifications they must also clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their covering letter.

Operational Requirements:
• Must be able to work overtime as required (sometimes at short notice);
• Must be available to work periodic evenings and/or weekends to provide service at official functions
• The employee will be required to wear a uniform and should be able to do physical tasks such as lift heavy boxes, etc.

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Candidates must be able to start work no more than two (2) months following an offer of employment.
• Candidates must have a valid work permit at the time of submitting their application;
• The appointment of the successful candidates is subject to obtaining a security clearance which the Embassy will complete
