Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Consul and Head of Office, the position provides coordination and administrative services in support of the Common Services Program. The Common Services Program is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the mission through the provision of high quality common services to the Government of Canada’s international network of missions. This includes real property, facilities management, material management, procurement, contracting, human resources, finance, IM/IT, emergency management and security.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education:
• Post-secondary degree or apprenticeship (or equivalent) or higher

Language:
• Professional level of German at the C1 level (oral and written)*
• Professional level of English at the C1 level (oral and written)*
*according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Experience:
• Minimum of two years of recent relevant work experience** in:
• Office management;
• Financial management; and
• Property management
** recent experience is defined as within the last 5 years

Rated Requirements

The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

• Ability to travel and work overtime according to operational needs

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Ability to obtain an Enhanced Reliability Clearance
• Candidates must have a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period. If the employment is indeterminate, the work authorization should be permanent or itself lead to a permanent work authorization.
• Valid driver’s licence
