Summary of position:
Under the direct supervision of the Common Service Officer the range of duties may include but not limited to:

•Performing a variety of Property / Procurement activities supporting all programs;
•Performing asset maintenance services required to support the real estate business line;
•Performing generating information and documentation for the contracting processes within the common services program;
•Performing a variety of administrative and financial functions in support of all programs;
•Performing a variety of Human Resources activities supporting all programs;
•Supporting ongoing program activities in the Common Service section;
•Responding to requests from internal and external clients by providing general information and/or front line assistance;
•Providing and/or creating information and/or documentation.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education:

•Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, OR an acceptable equivalent through the combination of education and work experience.

Experience:

•Minimum two (2) years of recent* experience working in an office environment as administrative and/or accounting support;
•Experience in financial processes (e.g. invoice payments, processing claims for travel or hospitality, preparing contracting/financial agreements);
•Minimum two (2) years recent* working experience in customer service;
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

* Recent is considered to be within the past seven (7) years *

Language:

•Fluency in English, spoken, written and comprehension
•Fluency in Turkish, spoken, written and comprehension

Rated Requirements:
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Knowledge:

•Knowledge of administrative and financial processes, such as record keeping, expense management, budget tracking, and the preparation of reports; and
•Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite specifically Word and Excel;

Abilities:

•Ability to communicate effectively in English;
•Ability to interpret between English and Turkish, and to provide basic translations for written documents;
•Ability to analyze and compare information and correspondence, showing attention to detail, in order to provide input for reporting;
•Ability to work under pressure, plan, organize, coordinate priorities and prioritize multiple tasks to meet multiple competing demands and deadlines;
•Ability to work courteously and efficiently in a multinational team.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.

Language:

•The ability to work in French at an intermediate level in reading, writing, listening, speaking.

Experience:

•Experience with a diplomatic/consular entity or international organization;
•Experience in project management, procurement and/or property/facilities management;
•Experience organizing the logistics surrounding events.

Education and Knowledge:

•Knowledge and proficiency in financial software packages (SAP);
•Knowledge of human resources services related Laws, rules and regulations);
•Bachelor degree from a recognized university with a major related to business administration, finance, or human resources.

Organizational Needs:

Operational Requirements:
•Must be able to work overtime on short notice on occasion.
•Must be available for occasional duties outside normal working hours (i.e., evenings and weekends).
•Ability and willingness to travel, including internationally.

Condition(s) of Employment:
•Right to work and live legally in Turkey;
•Able to obtain and retain an enhanced reliability clearance;
